You will serve as an ELECTRICIAN LEARDER in the Maintenance Assist Team (Code 913), Corrosion Control Division (Code 910), Production Department (900), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will implement policies, procedures, expectations, and responsibilities for the training of personnel, planning, and execution of the Maintenance Assist Team (MAT) Program. You will be responsible for the professional training, and readiness of MAT personnel Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) for all MAT Members and MAT Team Leaders. You will identify and review fleet maintenance, and material readiness objectives for surface ships to be supported by the MAT Program. You will be responsible for updating and notifying all involved parties in the event of a change, or interruption to a scheduled MAT. You will review of all shipboard problematic systems and equipment that MARMC is capable to support. You will identify and develop a qualified team of various shipboard system/equipment experts. You will provide general administrative services to include MAT advertisement, assigned ship class ROV budgeting, Time keeping, MAT completion reporting, and Training. You will create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for MAT operations, specifically for MARMC. You will ensure that each Maintenance Assist Team (MAT) are adequately staffed with capable systems/equipment experts, and experienced Maintenance and Material Management (3M) system operators. You will ensure team members have the comprehensive technical knowledge on associated Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM and E), Combat Systems, Auxiliary, and ancillary support systems throughout multiple ship platforms.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE such as: understanding of Hull, Mechanical, Electrical (HM&E), Auxiliary Systems, and Combat Systems to identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate solutions in resolving critical problems. familiar with related engineering disciplines (such as electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, structural, etc.) in order to analyze problems from an overall system viewpoint. plans and forecasts future team staffing requirements, location of team members, team training and cross training of team members with other departments in order to meet long-term workload demands. develops the multi-million-dollar materiel funds budget, and establishes policy issues affecting the overall organization. accomplish the maintenance and repairs within established period of performance (POP) while maintaining the ship availability schedule. identify and develop a qualified team of various shipboard system/equipment experts.
