You will serve as an ELECTRICIAN of NAVSTA.
Duties
You will maintain plant electrical distribution low voltage load centers, switchgear, emergency generators, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) in ready condition
You will troubleshoot various refrigeration equipment to correct issues
You will follow safety guidelines and practices to avoid unnecessary exposure to hazards and injury.
You will establish priorities and coordinate production work activities within established timeframes
You will interpret blueprints or sketches in a group setting to determine specific work requirements for each team member.E
You will Keep work area clean and organized while performing electrical work.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial refrigerators, air conditioner units; 2) Utilizing various hand tools and portable electric tools (multimeters, meggers, clamp-on ammeters, ohmmeters, etc.) to conduct testing on electrical equipment; 3) Utilizing refrigerant tables, calibrating airflow, thermostats, and pressure -temperature systems; 4) Interpreting, isometric and schematic diagrams, electrical and refrigeration blueprints, and manufacturer's technical manuals to install, troubleshoot, repair and test refrigeration and electrical systems and equipment.
