You will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager (Facilities) in the Facilities and Infrastructure Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will supervise subordinate personnel who execute the functional operations of facility and maintenance management of the heavy aircraft maintenance industrial facility ensuring environment, safety, and engineering compliance. You will manage and oversee the approval of budgets relating to facility management, capital investment, and equipment readiness. You will review annual proposed budgets that align with the agency's financial strategy. You will exercise managerial authority through department directors who execute facility engineering and equipment maintenance operations including project management, quality assurance, facility engineering, and equipment/environmental engineering. You will develop and provide advice in applying program policies and define objectives and aids in solutions of problems. You will plan for contingencies and develop capabilities towards long range continuous improvement plans to meet mission objectives.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Directing and supervising subordinate personnel who execute the functional operations of facility and maintenance management of the heavy aircraft maintenance industrial facility ensuring environment, safety, and engineering compliance; (2) Managing and overseeing the approval of budgets relating to facility management, capital investment, and equipment readiness and reviewing annual proposed budgets that aligns with the agency's financial strategy; (3) Exercising managerial authority and supervisory responsibility through department directors who execute facility engineering and equipment maintenance operations including project management, quality assurance, facility engineering, and equipment/environmental engineering; (4) Developing and providing advice in applying program policies and defining objectives and aids in solutions of problems; and (5) Planning for contingencies and developing capabilities towards long range continuous improvement plans to meet mission objectives.
