This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION. The incumbent serves as a Senior Cybersecurity Network Architect working to research, design, monitor, and implement secure data networks, cloud network designs, and engineering and associated systems based on stakeholder requirements.
Duties
As an IT Specialist (Senior Cybersecurity Network Architect), you will:
Serve as principal technical expert for cloud networks and develops secure, end-to-end cloud network architecture.
Research, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions for systems and products in compliance with CFPB's applicable security policies and standards.
Design and implement secure infrastructure solutions, including network security, configuration management, storage security, and identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) based on security policies to prevent unauthorized access.
Design and architect Multiprotocol Layer Switching (MPLS) networks, working with Wide Area Network (WAN) provider, and directing the work of T&I contractors.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the announcement's closing date.
Specialized Experience: For the CN-60, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-53 grade level in the Federal service. (For qualification purposes, the CN-53 is broadly equivalent to the GS-13). Specialized experience for this position includes:
Developing network solutions architecture using Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) networks technologies; AND
Managing network security devices and planning, configuring, and managing network infrastructure; AND
Leading project design and technical teams to develop network solutions; AND
Designing, evaluating, developing, and maintaining systems to resolve network specific hardware and software issues.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
