Serves as the Deputy/ Assistant Chief, of a Central Distribution Center (CDC), with responsibility for assisting in the management of the CDC, which is responsible for supporting serviced commissaries through the effective ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of perishable resale products. Duties

Assisting customers by answering questions such as item price or location, and handling bulky/heavy items. Operating an electronic checkout system to record unit price, total customer purchase, and make change. Performing a variety of duties in handling, preparing and maintaining stock levels of grocery and produce items. Reviewing stock levels and gathering inventory data in order to maintain the Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) system. Preparing and maintaining a variety of documents to order commissary items, reconcile invoices and submit requisitions. Maintaining security, safety, and sanitation practices and procedures. Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2030 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of the two to qualify. To qualify for the GS-11 position your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-9 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. OR 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education OR Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree. Examples of qualifying Specialized experience for GS-11: Assigning authorized staff to accomplish the assigned warehousing mission Responsible for the ordering receiving, storage and shipping of perishable and non-perishable goods to commissaries within area of support. Ensures the proper product rotation is maintained, and that all product is accounted for through automated systems. Knowledge of wholesale distribution, automated warehousing systems and mechanization. Knowledge of requisitioning, and distribution functions within the supply chain process and the ability to resolve problems encountered. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical requirements: Standing, walking, and possible bending, stooping, reaching and other activities. May be exposed to inclement weather or climate.
