This position is part of the Agency Support Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
Operate electric powered high-lift fork trucks having a load capacity up to 3,000 pounds and capable of carrying, lifting, stacking loads of flat paper stock and materials.
Receive incoming/outgoing shipments including new procurements, receipts, arid returns from using activities.
Check for property and/or part number, nomenclature, quantity, and condition for agreement with accompanying documents.
Requirements
- You must be a current Career or Career Conditional GPO employee to apply.
- Selectee may be required to pass preemployment requirements prior to appointment.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
- License for driving high forklift trucks, including other materials handling equipment of lesser capacity and Formal training courses on safety requirements to handle hazardous materials in a safe manner for storing and movement of materials

To minimally qualify for the KX-6907-00 level, you must meet the requirement below: Applicants must meet Screen Out/Job Element #1: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision: Experience using warehouse plans, methods, procedures and techniques of material handling.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
