This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

Duties
Oversees the IT and information management program for the Department of Labor.
Provides leadership and guidance to senior DOL agency executives, information technology executives, as well as the managers of the OCIO organization.
Plans and oversees the IT governance structure at DOL; participates in all DOL agency budget formulation meetings related to IT and oversees an IT investment management process for selecting, controlling and evaluating all DOL IT investments, including staffing the Information Technology Acquisition Review Board (IT ARB).
Represents DOL on the Federal Chief Information Officer Council, the principal interagency forum for improving practices in the design, modernization, use of information resources; the development of recommendations for IT; and assessing and addressing the needs of the Federal Government IT workforce.
Provides leadership, implements and coordinates the Department's Paperwork Reduction Act plans; manages DOL information collection; consolidates, negotiates approval, and monitors the annual Information Collection Budget; approves all Department and Agency proposals for public data collection and record keeping; and reviews the paperwork burden of proposed Departmental regulations and legislation.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess technical and management experience and have developed the knowledge and skills required for effective performance of the specific duties of the position. Candidates must have had experience at a major management level (normally equivalent to the GS-15 level in the federal service).
All competitive candidates for SES positions with the Federal Government must demonstrate leadership experience indicative of senior executive-level management capability. To meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, you must show in your resume that you possess the Fundamental Competencies, five Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs), and the Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs), listed below. 5. Building Coalitions: This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals.
MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): In writing your narrative responses to the MTQs, please give examples and explain how often you used your skills, the complexity of the knowledge possessed, the level of people you interacted with, the sensitivity of the issues you handled, etc. APPLICANTS SHOULD LIMIT THEIR NARRATIVE RESPONSES TO ONE (1) SINGLE SPACED PAGE PER EACH MTQ WITH THE FONT SIZE NO SMALLER THAN POINT 12.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in developing a cohesive, integrated approach to the accomplishment of program goals and objectives related to financial benefits-focused IT systems for a large-scale organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in developing and managing a diverse portfolio of IT systems for a large-scale organization.
Education
