Duties

You will serve as the installation fuel responsible officer with the responsibility for and authority to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct section activities. You will maintain formal property records that reflect on-hand balances and location of property assigned to the fuel accounts. You will review reports and statistical data to identify trends requiring management action. You will be responsible for oversight of scheduling for deliveries based on unit forecasts balancing requirements. You will serve as a technical advisor and the primary installation point of contact for matters concerning fuel products and distribution.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Experience with fuel supply operations to include receiving, storing, issuing, and evaluation. 2) Knowledge of supply/financial business processes and operations to solve problems and to recommend solutions; 3.) Knowledge of fuel composition, properties, and characteristics.4.) Knowledge of recycling, recovering, and disposal of petroleum products. Education


In lieu of experience or with a combination of education and experience, you may qualify with the following:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

or
