Duties

Designs or conducts analytical studies, cost-benefit analyses, or other research. Develops annual budgets/cost projections and performs financial analysis (labor, hardware, and software) for current periods and out years (capital and operating) for review, approval and use. Coordinates, provides oversight, and conducts system testing in development and operational environments. Ensures proper steps such as upgrades, code refactoring, and troubleshooting are performed to maintain system stability. Coordinates and integrates project activities, manages, leads, or administers project resources, and monitors project activities to mitigate risk. Establishes test strategy and objectives and conducts system testing in development and operational environments.

Specialized experience is defined as: Designing, reviewing, and analyzing cost-benefit analyses, project scope, requirements and deliverables to maintain and lead complex IT projects; assisting in system testing, troubleshooting, and updates to maintain system stability; and coordinating project activities that mitigate risks and maintains quality assurance processes. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
