The position is within the FAA, Aviation Safety (AVS), Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM), Regional Aerospace Medicine Division. The Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) develops and manages medical programs in support of Aviation Safety.

Duties

This position is the Program Analyst for one or more of the following regional programs and activities in assigned Regional Aerospace Medicine Division: Airman Medical Certification, Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) Health, ATCS Applicant Medical Clearance, Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) Designee Management, Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) Surveillance and Internal Substance Abuse (ISAP). NOTE: Specific programs assigned depend on regional location.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least three (3) years of progressively responsible general work experience demonstrating the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communication effectively. At least one (1) year of experience must be equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level of work in the administrative, professional, technical, investigative or comparable work area.Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work.ORSuccessful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree gained from an accredited college or university.ORCombination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position.If your qualifications for this position are based on education, you must submit a transcript of your college coursework by the closing date of the announcement.
