This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, House Office Buildings, Client Services Division.  The selectee will be responsible for examining offices, foyers, safety apparatuses and other public spaces to detect and rectify maintenance issues for Members, Committees, and their staffs.

This position is emergency essential - Depending on the type of emergency the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situations.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-08 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-07) grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position must demonstrate all of the following: Providing building operations support. Conducting building inspections for cleanliness and maintenance. Using automated systems to maintain data and records.
