You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN in the Facilities Sustainment Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Duties
You will install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, system, and associated fixtures.
You will plan and lay out the work tracing hard-to-locate defects problems and completes repairs and installations.
You will perform installation and repair of electrical systems such as primary and secondary utility services.
You will perform structure-to electrolyte cathodic protection potential surveys.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may be job sited. You may be required to report for work at a location other than a permanently assigned location.
- The position requires you be certified in the use of a respirator and to work in confined spaces.
- The position requires you to have the ability to discern colors, contrast and depth.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

1) Utilizing electrical principles including how various circuits, equipment and controls fit and work together; 2) Operating various gauges, sizes and types of wire, conduit, coupling, fittings, relays, boxes, circuit breakers and other electrical devices, and ability to arrange and install them in ways that insure safe; 3) Applying blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawing, and technical manuals.
