Duties
Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise to analyze and advise management on a wide range of program activities which will impact the entire agency. This position starts at a salary of $139,395.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $181,216.00 (GS-14, Step 10).

In this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position, you will utilize your skills as an experienced management analyst to direct and manage a diverse range of sector support activities while ensuring compliance with established goals and objectives. Typical work assignments include:
Leading and accomplishing major data management projects and assignments that require a wide range of analytical and evaluative techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, sufficient to accomplish complex projects or studies broad in scope and magnitude.
Guiding the branch team on the development and procurement of advanced data management, records, knowledge management, and analytic capabilities.
Overseeing the full range of planning and management functions required to support the development, integration, and fielding of data management and data governance within USBP.
Managing data management and data governance for systems and applications that impact the organization with implementation of new programs, policies, and procedures.
Composing written presentations and presenting them to senior level management, customers, or other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Overseeing the planning, direction, and execution of a program or several program segments.
Collaborating with internal and external program offices and components.
Reviewing programs for conformance with new and existing policies.
Providing technical direction to others in the areas of project management, team building, group facilitation, and process improvement.
Allocating work to project teams based on priorities, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of team members.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 10/01/2024.

Residency: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment.
