About the Position: Serves as Production Division Chief providing technical and analytical input and assistance. Missions include all facets of the execution of functions associated with the design, production, manufacture, fabrication, reclamation, overhaul, modification, and rebuild of Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE).
Duties
Implement and direct continuous improvement programs to increase capacity, reduce costs, and support new or increased workloads.
Provide technical and analytical input in the development of assigned operational programs relating to programming and budgeting activities.
Manage prototype development, design projects, and production programs in the Directorate and with private industry and other organic industrial elements.
Design production process to execute workload requirements that involves special requirements including engineering design and drafting.
Prepare missions complex plan for time phased mobilization of all operations based on workload guidance, operational information and assumptions.
Perform program analysis in the performance of budgeting, programming, and analysis of operations and coordinating the implementation of new production control system.
Provide leadership and guidance to subordinate divisions in development of civilian personnel performance standards.
Review work methods to eliminate those with no value added and achieve optimum content in those remaining.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating the production process of a maintenance and manufacturing facility of specialized equipment. Developing and analyzing production data to determine the optimum use of equipment, budgeting and engineering resources to meet workload requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
