You will serve as a Technical Project Manager (Administrative/Technical) in the Subsea and Seabed Warfare and Maritime Operations Department of NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION.
Duties
You will lead the project team efforts supporting NAVSEA's Antiterrorism Afloat Equipage project, including the total lifecycle support of Personal Protective Equipment.
You will manage the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of tasking to achieve objectives for cost, schedule, and performance, to include financial tracking/reporting, risk/schedule management, and implementation of corrective actions.
You will manage the planning and negotiation of fiscal year tasking with NAVSEA and other sponsors.
You will manage projects requiring knowledge and experience in a relevant technical or nontechnical discipline, e.g., textiles/clothing, engineering, mathematics, science, project management, business, economics, finance, or development/planning.
You will lead project efforts in working with other departments within NSWC PCD towards procurement of large value material contracts.
You will lead the project efforts to meet the reporting requirements for operations.
You will communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
FOR NT-05 (GS-14/15 equivalent); Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical support in the development, planning, execution, and monitoring of administrative and business practices to Navy personal protective equipment, Navy diving or Navy diving systems.
