You will serve as a Program Manager in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAWCADLKE. This position provides lead programmatic support for all F/A-18 SE FMS Cases and some Domestic F/A-18 PSE IPTs. Incumbent will serve as a deputy program manager for F/A-18 PSE SEPO under the PEO(T) Division within the Support Equipment Department.
Duties
You will identify resource requirements (e.g., funding, manpower, facilities) for life-cycle management of a program.
You will coordinate with customers and business financial managers to ensure program funding requirements are met.
You will develop acquisition strategies to meet program objectives or goals.
You will direct the development of a program plan.
You will discuss administrative and managerial issues to resolve and defend program or project objectives.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Planning, budgeting and managing across all system areas for identification, development, acquisition, production, and delivery of all required Support Equipment; 2) Coordinating and interfacing with appropriate competencies, system commands, fleet representatives, and contractors to assure proper execution; 3) Making major program recommendations concerning program direction, resources, policies, and schedules; and 4) Managing all project schedules and acquisitions to ensure all projects are developed, tested and fielded as planned; 5) Providing centralized management and leadership to assure associated products and services are delivered on schedule, within budget, are fully supported before deployment and perform according to documented technical requirements throughout their life cycle; 6) Providing team leadership and technical program management and guidance to engineering and other team members associated with the assigned program.
