This position, located in Little Rock, will include daily interaction with the members of Nursing Service including Associate Nurse Executives/Chief Nurses, Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Manager, Administrative Officers, Unit Managers, Secretaries, and other Service Chiefs. The position provides professional advice, guidance, and consultation for the Acute Care employees, as well as, hospital staff.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as the primary resource for data analysis for avoidable adverse events for the Medical Center.
Review practices, policies, and activities across the inpatient, e Medical Center, including acute care, critical care, and ambulatory care.
Analyzes management techniques, processes, and styles for improving organizational effectiveness.
Identifies areas requiring process improvement, performs follow-up actions as necessary, and makes recommendations to the Chief, Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, or staff as required.
Serves as the purchase card holder, PIV badge sponsor, and key coordinator for the Acute Care section of Nursing Service.
Conducts training in all phases of administrative procedures such as correspondence, telephone procedures, publications, directives, and reports.
Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative for multiple clinical and administrative contracts under the Acute Care Section.
Work Schedule: 7:30 to 4:00 weekends and holidays based off the needs of the facility

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/03/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07.The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-7 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Experience with HR processes, practices and policies
Experience in providing a wide variety of administrative support, develops programs for data submission, data tracking, data validation, data analysis.
Experience using office automation programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Experience utilizing electronic systems to gather processes, practices and policies to accomplish time or project functions.
OR,
Education: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or successfully completed two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, LL.B or J.D in a related field of the position to be filled (i.e., hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration). Education at the graduate level must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. OR,
Combination: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education (beyond the first year) and specialized experience as described above, to meet the total experience requirements. The education portion must include graduate courses that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do to the work of this position (i.e. hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as course work in health care administration). This education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. Experience must be clearly indicated in your resume.

Physical Requirements: Physical demands of the position are quite limited period the work is mostly sedentary, but some walking, bending, stooping, and carrying are required.
