You will serve as an Assistant Program Manager, Life Cycle Logistics in the Marine Corps Systems Command Program Management Office of MARCORSYSCOM.

Duties

You will recognize delegated extension of authority and expert consultant for program and project management teams. You will develop, initiate, and oversee implementation of new product support concepts, corrective actions and changes to reflect new requirements, technologies and safety concerns. You will be responsible for defining, developing, implementing, and managing the strategic vision for the MCSC LCL workforce, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and optimizing workforce performance. You will create and refine commodity-specific procedures and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of program IPTs. You will collaborate with program managers and strategic business teams to develop, implement, and oversee strategic planning and portfolio management at the directorate level. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, evaluates work performance of subordinates, gives advice or instruction to employees, identifies developmental and training needs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Acquisition Workforce (AWF) members must complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Develops and assures implementation of new product support management concepts, corrective actions and changes to reflect new requirements, technologies, and safety concerns in logistics program operations.
