Duties

You will support management goals and engaging stakeholders in the development, execution and evaluation of product support initiatives, professional development, and certification standards. You will plan, develop, coordinate, direct, and implement actions that are applied throughout Marine Corps/ Navy. You will define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for vital programs with long-term impact on large numbers of people. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust, evaluate work performance of subordinates, gives advice or instruction to employees, and identify developmental and training needs for employees. You will evaluate work performance of subordinates based on established performance measures; give advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on their work performance and administrative matters, present ways to improve the quality.

Requirements

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leads staff of senior Life Cycle Logisticians and Integrates Product Support subject matter experts responsible for providing processes, policies, tools, training, and strategic direction for Life Cycle Logistics workforce. Assesses and provides strategic direction for resolution of mission critical problems, policies and procedures. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
