Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Office of Wildland Fire in either Boise, Idaho or Washington, D.C.
At the full performance level GS-12 the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide coordination and support on priorities and evidence informed strategies in the implementation of Health and Wellbeing Program (HWP). Supports and coordinates with Health and Wellbeing Program leads, integrating agency and program priorities to provide consistent application, while leveraging of resources across programs and services where possible.
Research technical program issues, such as gathering input from the field and provide qualitative and quantitative information to define and analyze problems and apply or recommend effective solutions.
Assist management in achieving optimal program and mission execution by identifying and evaluating program requirements to develop actionable, effective, and efficient acquisition strategies and program plans that take into consideration cost, schedule, and performance data.
Serve in the role of Contracting Officer Representative (COR), responsible for the management and oversight of contracts and acquisition requirements. Responsible for end-to-end management and oversight of all requirements within assigned portfolio from pre-award (e.g., requirement definition, acquisition strategy development), to contract award, to post-award.
Review and analyze contractor deliverables, services, and management reports to verify services delivery to contracted commitments and for prompt payment, to include use of structured quality surveillance practices and methods to effectively monitor the completeness and timeliness of goods and services.
Work with Forest Service and Department of Interior budget offices to ensure currency and accuracy of accounts. Performs regular Quality Assurance/Quality Control of program contracted programs and services.
Track and monitors contract expenditures for HWP budget requests. Coordinates with USDA for awareness of Forest Service (FS) contract expenditures, in support of HWP activities, for reporting and planning purposes.
Perform administrative and support functions to promote effective and efficient program functioning.
The Office of Wildlland Fire has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
GS-12 Salary Range Information:
Boise, Idaho: $86,962 - $113,047 per year.
Washington, D.C.: $99,200 - $128,956 per year.

First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must meet the Specialized Experience for the series/grade to which you are applying.
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:
Experience advising on the principles of health and/or wellbeing program planning, implementation, and evaluation and/or similar functions.
Experience with budget administration for assisting management with Health and/or wellbeing functions or similar functions.
Experience analyzing data and providing senior managers with information on health and/or wellbeing programs.
