About the Position: Serve as an Interdisciplinary (Plan Formulator) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Planning Division.
Management may select at the GS-13 or GS-14 grade level. Full performance grade level of the position is GS-14.
Duties
Serves as senior expert within the Planning and Policy Community of Practice (CoP) for the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD).
Manage and provide quality assurance for plan formulation and Civil Works policy compliance performed within the Division and subordinate districts.
Provide expertise and guidance to key officials and counterparts at District, Division Headquarters, other government agencies, and private interests using a comprehensive knowledge of water resource management policies and techniques.
Plans for addressing water and related land resource problems and opportunities involve major Civil Works projects serving the varied needs of the region.
Serve as an expert on the formulation of water and related land resource projects requiring analysis of a broad base of scientific and technical information.

Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes reviewing plan formulation and policy for Civil Works water and related land resource projects; assist in quality assurance for plan formulation and Civil Works policy; and review scientific and technical information for formulation of water and related land resource projects.
Specialized Experience GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes advising on plan formulation and policy for Civil Works water and related land resource projects; provide quality assurance for plan formulation and Civil Works policy compliance; and analyze scientific and technical information for formulation of water and related land resource projects.

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-13: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-14: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
Education
