About the Position: Serve as an Interdisciplinary Planner (Risk Analysis Coordinator) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) in Cincinnati, OH.
Management may select at the GS-13 or GS-14 grade level. Full performance level of the position is GS-14.
Duties
Serve as a Senior Water Resource Planning expert responsible for application of expert knowledge in the development and application of planning policies and procedures.
Maintain understanding of civil engineering and environmental science principles applicable to planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance, and recapitalization of water resources projects.
As Risk Analysis Coordinator, develop procedures and policy guidance to ensure functional communities of practice assess, manage, and communicate risk and integrate into decision-making associated with all water resources programs and projects.
Serve as primary MSC point of contact for the USACE Institute for Water Resources Centers of Expertise for Risk Management to ensure vertical alignment with HQUSACE and administration policy.
Utilization of skills and experience regarding a broad base of scientific, environmental and technical information and ability to develop integrated alternative solutions that contribute to comprehensive/total benefits to the public.
Conducts reviews, provides oversight and mentors project delivery teams to ensure compliance with regional quality management processes ensuring conformance with Regional Business Quality Management criteria and procedures.

Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes advising on risks related to integrated water resources planning projects; adhering to quality control processes on planning products; and advising on risk analysis in plan formulation and civil works policy.
Specialized Experience GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes managing and advising on risks related to integrated water resources planning programs and projects; conducting inspections on planning products using quality control processes; and advising on risk analysis in plan formulation and civil works policy.
