About the Position: Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition leads and manages the research, development, production, procurement and equipping of lethal armament and protective systems to provide Joint Warfighters with overmatch capabilities to defeat current and future threats world-wide.
Duties
Leads the development, procurement, and delivery of lethal armaments and ammunition providing joint warfighters with overmatch capabilities to defeat current and future threats.
Provides oversight and direction to HQ Staff elements, Project or Program Management (PM) and Product Managers on program planning and acquisition, budget and financial execution, cost and data analysis, and accounting and audit compliance.
Supervises the activities of personnel engaged in the acquisition of services and products through contractual means to include financial oversight and control, budget formulation and execution, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) ect.
Responsible for coordinating requirements for IT systems supporting business processes.
Serves as the JPEO Ammo lead for BBP and affordability policy matters.
Develops, reviews and discusses Individual Development Plans (IDPs) at initial/mid-point/end of cycle for all assigned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Non-Critical Sensitive Secret Access security clearance
- One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Must file a Financial Statement (OGE-450) upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- Selectees must sign a written tenure agreement to remain in the Federal service in this position for at least three (3) years.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Advanced in the Acquisition Career Field ""Business Financial Management" within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
