About the Position: PEO Ammunition leads and manages the research, development, production, procurement and equipping of lethal armament and protective systems to provide Joint Warfighters with overmatch capabilities to defeat current and future threats world-wide.

Duties

Coordinates, integrates, leads and directly controls the efforts associated with assigned projects. Conduct program planning to allocate resources, direct, coordinate and evaluate a wide range of program related functions. Establishes and maintains program information in various formats for internal and external information requirements. Provide effective management, direction and control over assigned functions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Business travel is required up to 25% of the time.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 must be submitted prior to appointment and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This is a Temporary position. If filled by a current permanent Army employee, the position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or Reassignment as determined by management.
  • Acquisition Workforce Certification in career category "Program Management" within 48 months of appointment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Managing a program through a phase of the acquisition process (or a portion of a program); 2) Leading integrated product teams (IPT) in developing and executing program plans; 3) Developing detailed program briefs outlining master plans or program objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 pay band or GS-13 equivalent).
