You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the NAVAL SUBMARINE SCHOOL NLON.
Duties
You will provides background information regarding calls/visitors and/or refer calls/visitors as required.
You will makes arrangements for meetings, conferences, etc., providing place, time and participation notification.
You will administer the budget to include micro-purchases via government purchase card and travel.
You will prepare the necessary paperwork for travel requirements, including transportation, lodging, visit/security requests, etc., confirming the details and creating a travel package prior to travel.
You will arrange award, frocking, and promotion ceremonies, coordinates hail and farewell ceremonies and retirement ceremonies.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specilaized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to routine requests for information; 2) Prioritizing requests for information and status inquiries to ensure office goals are met; 3) Maintaining an office calendar, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings for executives and superiors while avoiding conflicts; 4) Preparing correspondence using correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, format, and punctuation in compliance with established procedures and regulations; and 5) Utilizing appropriate social etiquette and protocol when interacting with high-ranking officials and VIPs.
