You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the EXECUTIVE STAFF, NAVAL SUBMARINE SUPPORT FACILITY NLON of REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP, GROTON.
Duties
You will serve as the direct representative and personal secretary to the Commander, performing clerical and administrative duties to support department operations and ensure material readiness.
You will review correspondence to ensure the use of correct grammar, spelling, and format.
You will screen and direct all telephone calls for the Commander of Regional Support Group through questioning, determining nature of calls and refer them appropriately.
You will maintain the Executive Staff's daily calendar, scheduling and rescheduling appointments/meetings as necessary utilizing computer software.
You will arrange conferences and meetings routinely and as directed.
You will review correspondence and documents prepared for the Executive Staff for accuracy, proper grammar, and format in conformance with regulations and special policies.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, and meetings, scheduling, and resolving any conflicts.
Experience receiving visitors and phone calls to accurately determine the nature of requests and prioritizing contacts and issues needing staff attention.
Experience operating a computer/word processor and applicable software.
Experience using grammar, spelling, punctuation, and material to compose and review correspondence with various levels of executive staff.
Experience establishing and maintaining office records.
