About the Position: This position is located within the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP), Naval Branch Health Clinic) Groton. The purpose or this position is to manage and maintain effective and efficient data collections, which enhances the swift turnaround from assessmcn1 to the treatment of patients.

Duties

Answer questions regarding the status of clients/patients, while maintaining all HIPPA regulations. Maintain the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Groton Office appointment schedules having full authority to set-up or reschedule appointments of the SARP staff, external staff commitments/ appointments. Respond to routine and non-clinical request for information. Maintain logs and files that pertain to the day-to-day operation of the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Groton. Book all appointments for the Head, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Groton, and counselors and Licensed Independent Practitioner in Mental Health Groton. Develop and/or provide the end of day report and submits report to Groton's Fiscal Department. Update service and maintenance contracts regarding SARP equipment

A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes scheduling meetings; utilizing computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and performing record keeping for the office files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages and Organizes InformationWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
