Duty Location: This is not a remote position. The position reports to the Hoover Dam, Clark County, NV.
Duties
The primary duties of this position include:
Developing immediate and long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones for all maintenance activities including electrical, general, mechanical, and testing maintenance work functions for the Hoover Dam.
Through subordinate supervisors, administering and overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of work activities and policies related to these programs. Providing substantial management advisory services on assigned programs.
Developing work plans, objectives, and priorities for program accomplishments. Providing positive direction and guidance on administrative and technical determinations to ensure that work is accomplished within program and policy objectives. Establishing criteria for measuring the effectiveness of the office's overall accomplishments in meeting established goals and objectives and takes positive action to correct deficiencies.
Evaluating employee/organizational productivity efficiency and costs for measurement and continuous improvement. Identifying and implementing new or improved business and management practices for application including methods for improving work processes and /or for integrating appropriate technology into the organization.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 level, your resume must clearly reflect you possess one year of full-time experience overseeing the operations and maintenance activities of a power producing facility. This experience must include evaluating operations and planning the budget.

Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires the employee to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 within 30 days of entrance on duty. Failure to provide proof of such license will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position.
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 09/30/2024.
