About the Position: Serves as the Lead Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) for the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency under the Headquarters, Department of Army, Office of the Chief Information Officer and reports to the Deputy Director of Enterprise Cloud Management Agency.
Duties
Provide recommendations on staff actions for key programs related to overall mission.
Monitor all actions through to completion.
Train personnel in the effective use of Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) process.
Develop administrative policies and procedures to improve staff operations.
Present information to include recommendations via oral and/or written means.
Analyze data to present recommended solutions to top management.
Develop sound working relationships with Army Staff agencies.
Prepare daily, weekly, and short-suspense status reports to staff elements.
Use information management systems to produce pertinent information on actions assigned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial period may be required.
- Travel Required: Up to 10% Business Travel may be required.

Qualifications
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing a range of management services such as staff counsel and program management; developing products such as information papers, memorandums and oral presentations; providing recommendations to senior leaders on staff actions; and providing instruction to personnel on administrative matters.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
