About the Position: Serves as Program Manager for Command Counter Drug operations and Budget Administrator for Counter Transnational Threats Branch, Current Operations Division of the US Army South G3. Responsible for funding, coordinating and executing these funds in support of Army South's Exercise Together Forward Engagements. Identifies funding shortfalls and designs strategies to mitigate the shortfalls and risks.

Duties

Prepare various statistical reports and budget information, obligation trends to determine fiscal requirements. Develop the Program Objective Memorandum for the Counter Drug Program for the annual program review meeting. Utilize budget database tools to analyze funding data for organizational requirements. Serve as certifying and approving official to control the use of appropriated funds.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Approximately 10% TDY is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
