About the Position: US Army NORTH (ARNORTH) is the Army service component command (ASCC) to USNORTHCOM (a unified combatant command) and a direct reporting unit of HQDA. Located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Leads and Manages the Senior Commander's Ready and Resilient Program (R2C), including coordinating and synchronizing programs and initiatives
addressing all aspects of R2C, such as Holistic Health, Health Promotion, Wellness, and Resiliency.
Develop and lead an R2C collaborative process that assesses Soldiers' behavioral, physical, social, and spiritual needs, and assists them in
developing individualized holistic health programs to optimize their capabilities and performance.
Identifies gaps and redundancies in the R2C Program, determines possible solutions, researches resources, tests new initiatives, assesses results,
and ensures results are provided to appropriate entities for possible use across the Army and DoD.
Interprets the impact of Congressional, Office of Secretary of Defense, and HQDA actions, directives, and policies upon Well-Being programs and
coordinates with officials from various government and non-government agencies and organizations.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes a high degree of cross-functional complexity, matrix team leadership, short-notice high-visibility taskings such as briefings, information papers and presentations in order to manage, conduct, develop and oversee health, wellness, and/or resilience programming for an organization; evaluate program effectiveness through a variety of qualitative and quantitative means in order to make recommendations for improvements; collaborate with external stakeholders to share best practices, advances, or strategies related to health and wellness programming at the headquarters level.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
