You will serve as a OFFICE MANAGER AND TRAINING OFFICER in the REQUIREMENTS, RESOURCES, AND ASSESSMENTS (N8) of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND.
Duties
You will ensure the efficient flow of daily office operations, aligning with the strategic objectives of the Navy.
You will direct and mentor the administrative support team, fostering an environment of teamwork, efficiency, and dedication to mission success.
You will be tasked with designing, coordinating, and implementing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of N8 staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.
You will regularly review and update office procedures to ensure compliance with the latest Navy directives, federal regulations, and Department of Defense (DoD) policies.
You will strengthen internal and external communication channels by fostering positive relationships with other departments, external partners, and stakeholders.
You will develop, propose, and monitor the office’s budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, cost efficiency, and alignment with naval fiscal policies.
You will collaborate with senior officers and department heads in strategic planning sessions, offering administrative insights to influence decision-making and project development.
Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Incumbent is subject to random counterintelligence scope polygraph examinations.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing staff/business office operations, including organizing meetings, scheduling events for senior leaders, editing and staffing formal correspondence, maintaining a database of contacts and correspondence, and/or implementing administrative processes.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting office operations, including organizing meetings, scheduling events for senior leaders, editing and staffing formal correspondence, maintaining a database of contacts and correspondence, and/or implementing administrative processes.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
