You will serve as a OPSEC SECURITY SPECIALIST and a member of the Marine Corps OPSEC Support Team (MOST), at the MARINE CORPS INFORMATION OPERATIONS CENTER (MCIOC), MARINE CORPS INFORMATION COMMAND (MCIC) MARINE FORCES COMMAND (MARFORCOM).

Duties

Review Operations Security (OPSEC) programs that are designed to meet operational needs by mitigating risks associated with specific vulnerabilities in order to deny adversaries critical information and observable indicators. Recommend deviation from routine practices to confuse or deter adversarial collectors and reduce vulnerabilities to existing hostile intelligence, terrorist, and criminal threats against personnel, information and other critical assets. Conduct risk analysis and vulnerability assessments in accordance with the intelligence threat analysis to determine appropriate preventive and active protective measures. Provide subject matter expertise to support the application of analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of service-specific Operations Security (OPSEC) training curriculum.

• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: The Conduct of OPSEC assessments and surveys, documenting findings, preparing/briefing results and making recommendations regarding units and/or installations OPSEC orders, policies, and programs.
