Duties

Serve as the primary consultant for the facility's Credentialing and Privileging Program, ensures that requirements are completed prior to patient care activities. Assess program compliance with federal regulations and national health care quality organization standards. Participate in the development of various types of documents, including correspondence, process documents, and forms, that are used for credentialing and privileging medical staff in a healthcare organization. Notify stakeholders in writing regarding the status of the credentialing and privileging application. Coordinate annual committee review of clinical privileges and scope of practice forms, provides SME guidance to credentialing, privileging, adverse privileging actions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
