Duties
Provides expert advice and recommendations regarding programmatic policy, budget formulation, and budget execution to Product Office senior leaders.
Develops specific program planning data by performing cost/requirements analyses (e.g. requirement assessments analyses, life cycle cost analyses.)
Research and validate planning, scheduling, and funding projections provided by supporting organizations.
Analyzes competing requirements, constantly changing schedules, and variations for the Product Office budget.
Serves as a focal point for developing, coordinating, updating, and maintaining program unfunded requirements (UFRs) documents.
Reviews submissions to ensure consistency with overall higher-level program authorities, policy, objectives, and priorities, and then provides specific recommendations on correction of discrepancies and deficiencies to the Director.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level I Practitioner in the Acquisition Career Field Business and Financial Management (BUS-FM) within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position. Selectee must comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized Experience: 1) Performing budget functions to support programs, 2) Advising program managers and management officials on budget guidelines, and 3) Developing program planning data by performing cost analysis.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
