Serves as a Program Analyst to support the Reporting team within the Background Investigation (BI) Business Analytics Office (BAO) responsible for managing dashboards and reporting products on BI metrics, analyzing data for trends, looking for improvements, and making recommendations

As a PROGRAM ANALYST (Data Analytics) you will be responsible for the following duties:

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-11 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Creating and maintaining original reports utilizing reporting mechanisms (Excel, Dashboard Management Reporting System (DMRS), Tableau ) and maintaining and optimizing them for a Background Investigation (BI) and/or Personnel security program. Developing and evaluating quantitative metrics and reporting systems in support of Background Investigation (BI) and Personnel security programs evaluation and operational impact analysis. Supporting BI and Personnel security end-to-end projects -- analytical modeling, working groups, process improvement -- utilizing project management methodologies and processes. Utilizing data analytics tools, gathering, evaluating, analyzing and assessing the quality of the data to compile reports, briefings, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audience. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Data Management - Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and tools of data management, such as modeling techniques, data backup, data recovery, data dictionaries, data warehousing, data mining, data disposal, and data standardization processes. 2. Qualitative/Quantitative Analysis - Examines and evaluates data to manage and achieve results. 3. Information Management - Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems. 4. Researching - Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information. Obtains, evaluates, organizes, and maintains information. 5. Project Management - Applies principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. 6. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. 7. Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing presentations and reports; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Coordinates with counterparts on a regular basis building and maintaining relationships and trust throughout the Department
