About the Position: Located at 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Fort Drum New York.
This is a Temporary position intended to last 3 May 2025. A temporary position may be extended to a maximum of three years and may be terminated at any time during the duration of the appointment, depending upon the needs of management.
Duties
Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist in the 10th Mountain Division (LI), G4 or Brigade Property Book office.
In support of training/materiel readiness with oversight of all Brigade Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) units.
Provide review and recommendations to the Command Group on property financial liability reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Has access to weapons and ammunition, thus position is covered by provisions of the Lautenberg Amendment.
- Incumbent must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Coordinating operation requirements to meet the mission needs; Interpreting regulations and operating procedures for proper dissemination; Preparing organizational plans; Analyzing current plans to resolve issues; Wide range of experience utilizing Logistics Information Systems to include GCSS-Army. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study].

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
