About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Drum, New York.
Duties
Ensure supply and services support is provided to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel.
Provide oversight and coordination of the installation's supply program capable of deploying and redeploying soldiers, civilians, and units.
Administer the supply and service programs such as inventory management, warehouse and storage management, stock control requirements determination, receipt and issue of supplies, retail and bulk petroleum, and Hazardous Materials.
Oversee the procurement processes and controls the use of the Government Purchase Card.
Review and/or determine impact and effect of new or logistics regulatory material and requirements imposed on the division and perform necessary planning and implementation to meet requirements.
Provide contract oversight as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) or through the assigned COR in coordination with the Quality Assurance Evaluation staff, including review, monitoring, and evaluation of contractor performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization.
- The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Current Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Drum Logistics Readiness Center, within the local commuting area. Consideration will also be given to current Department of Army Civilian employees with competitive status.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Ensuring supply and services support is provided to personnel; 2) Overseeing an organization's procurement processes; 3) Initiating or assigning logistics studies; and 4) Leading personnel and/or projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
