You will serve as a EDUCATION TECHNICIAN in the EXAM DEVELOPMENT DIVISION of NETPDC.

Duties

You will advise the N3 Director, N33 Division Head and N333 Branch Head of any changes to Defense Courier Service processes, shipping routes, and shipping dates. You will correspond with officers and enlisted personnel to explain advancement examination processes, fill advancement examination orders, provide tracking information for SCI packages, and assist as needed. You will update examination inventories with each individual command request and with each printed examination. You will provide oversight of finalized exams as to the receivership, retention, disposition, and security of exam packages. You will track returned receipts of all examination material and researches all material that has not been received by the applicable command or unit.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Travel within the local commuting area may be required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying process improvement for processing, packaging, and shipping of classified material; 2) Coordinating with personnel on the administration of classified materials; 3) Utilizing one or more established automated systems to enter, maintain and retrieve data pertaining to the packaging and shipping of SCI material (i.e. NEAS, My Navy Portal (MNP), and BUPERS websites, and other applicable websites related to the NEAS); and 4) Utilizing knowledge of organizational and higher-level authority regulations and procedures to ensure compliance in the storage, handling, processing, transfer, and safeguarding of classified material.
