About the Position: This position may serve as supervisor and senior-level program manager reviewing, evaluating, and managing the ammunition operation programs worldwide involving munitions operations, processes, and procedures for compliance worldwide. Multiple positions will be filled from this announcement with multiple geographical duty locations worldwide. **Access to Medical and Dental Care OCONUS locations is extremely limited. Duties

This position may be filled at the GS-12, GS-13, and/or GS-14 levels. The responsibilities at each grade level are listed below: GS-12 Level includes: Provide technical assistance on the handling, storage, and surveillance of Class V components. Appraise workload for volume, testing, or inspecting of storage preparatory to planning, developing, and managing the inspection and tests scheduling to determine unserviceable or serviceable assets. Plan and coordinate surveillance inspection efforts to established schedules, methods, procedures, materials, resources, and set-ups. Develop technical reviews for construction plans, standard operating procedures, contracts and drawings of equipment, building and facilities used to process or store ammunition and explosives. Supervise storage operations inspections and scheduling including site reviews of shipping and receiving operations and inspection of storage magazines. GS-13 Level includes: Review and evaluate the ammunition operations programs. Perform worldwide Ammunition Operations reviews and audits. Plan, direct, and execute Technical Assistance On-Site Visits. Conduct studies and provide technical assistance. Recommend policy and regulatory changes. GS-14 Level includes: Serve as supervisor and senior level program manager providing technical assistance and managing the ammunition operation programs worldwide for Class V Ammunition materiel regarding ammunition logistics and ammunition surveillance. Evaluate the operational effectiveness of commands, activities, and installations ammunition operations programs. Conduct worldwide ammunition operations reviews, studies, and audits. Plan and assign work based on priorities, requirements of assignments and capabilities of employees. Evaluate performance of employees and students.

Requirements

  • This position requires you to be a registrant in the Quality Assurance Specialist (Ammunition Surveillance) Functional Community IAW Quality Assurance Specialist (Ammunition Surveillance), AR 702-12, subject to a mandatory worldwide rotation.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
