This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Industrial Department, Electro Group in Baltimore, MD.
Duties
You will work and supervise a group on a variety of marine crafts. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of highly complex complete operational control systems that are typical of the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic.Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member. - SF-50s must be submitted at the time of application.
- Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Drug/Alcohol test required.
- State Driver's License required.
- Required to complete EKMS training and be certified.
Qualifications
Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:1. Ability to supervise (SCREEN OUT ELEMENT)2. Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
