This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer in Washington D.C. The role of a Cybersecurity Operations Project Manager involves primarily leading or supporting cyber technical projects, providing engineering leadership, facilitating cross-functional coordination, and ensuring effective inter/intra team communications to deliver secure technical program outcomes across a diverse range of broad and focused program and project activities.
Duties
*Serve as a Cybersecurity Operations Project Manager primarily responsible for leading or supporting technical program and/or project management and associated engineering leadership, cross-functional coordination and inter/intra team communications to deliver secure technical program outcomes for a wide variety of broad and focused program and/or project activities.
*Support a wide range and variety of complex information technology solutions and/or implementations.
*Also perform functions as the Operations Manager, which assists the Chief of Cybersecurity Operations in the execution and oversight of day-to-day operations of its portfolio functions and services. These include but are not limited to Security Operations Center (SOC), Cyber Threat Intelligence, (CTI), Cyber Threat Hunting (CTH), and Security Operations Engineering (SOE).
*Perform other duties as assigned.
This is not a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
This position requires that you have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as noted below. This experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. Your resume must describe each of the four competencies in order to receive credit. Not including this information in your application will make you not qualified.
(1) ATTENTION TO DETAIL - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; AND

(4) PROBLEM SOLVING - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

MINIMUM/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Specialized Experience: In addition, I have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
1) Leading or supporting technical program and/or project management and associated engineering leadership, cross-functional coordination and inter/intra team communications to deliver secure technical program outcomes; AND
2) Supporting a wide range and variety of complex information technology solutions and/or implementations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
