Duties
Coordinate or carrying out a variety of social services type programs.
Serve as a point-of-contact between the organization and the soldier's family members.
Coordinate Leased Government Housing as Command point of contact.
Assist with planning and implementation of Agency Substance Abuse Program.
Serve as Social Media Manager for Soldier and Family Program mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Secret background investigation.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- One year trial period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service for work which includes (1) Plan, and organize Soldier/Family support programs for organization-wide and assigned personnel; (2) Identify family support program requirements for dispersed military community and (3) ensure guidance and assistance is provided in compliance with regulations and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Basic Education Requirements:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

Combination of education and experience -- that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
