This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Senior Weapons Analyst and Manager with responsibility for the development of acquisition and security cooperation (SC) strategic plans and documentation, and policies to guide, direct, and outline the future of delegated SC activities.
Duties
As a WEAPONS SYSTEM ANALYST (ACQUISITION & TRANSFER) at the GS-0343-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Oversees SC privatization activities, monitoring competing requirements and working with MiLDeps other U.S. defense industry officials to establishes and maintains standard approaches to systems sales and technology transfers on on specific technology-sensitive issues.
Advise senior leadership on acquisition and sustainment matters as they relate to execution of FMS, Building Partner Capacity (BPC), and other SC programs.
Provide leadership and expert guidance to the planning, analysis, and application of a full-range of methodological tools and approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex analytical issues and incorporate insights and findings
Maintain a detailed knowledge or technological and industrial process-oriented matters of interest to DSCA and representing the Agency in intra-DoD and interagency discussions related to the management of technically sensitive defense article transfer issues, arising from the implementation and management of U.S. security cooperation (SC) and arms transfer policies and programs.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Managing weapon systems acquisition and transfers
Developing, coordinating and monitoring reviews of defense capability and weapons technology releases and policies
Implementing and executing projects by analyzing system and component performance and technical characteristics
Providing advisory to senior leaders on foreign competitions advocacy and technology release on weapons
