About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Duties

Understands and executes the demand planning program for a complex portfolio of weapons systems and/or component piece parts. Supports working level commodity reviews by identifying demand and return forecast accuracy risks; highlighting major changes made to the demand and return plan identifying unplanned demands and returns received. Coordinates with various stakeholders such as the weapon system team and the systems analysts to maintain complete and correct demand material master coding in the ERP system by submitting change requests to the material master cell. Reviews reports to address forecast accuracy and demand history peculiarities (unplanned demand or very large demand spikes) requiring verification/review to provide interpretations and guidance to management officials and other supply specialists. Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Serves as coach and facilitator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members. Researches, learns, and applies wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.
  • One year Probationary period may be required.
  • This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.

Experience utilizing supply chain management processes and procedures for lifecycle management from inception to completion.
