About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist over supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, order fulfillment, or distribution functions in Army Materiel Command (AMC).
Leads their personnel toward organizational goals by developing objectives, assigning work, tracking progress, and overseeing outputs of their employees.
Analyzes information to make decisions and achieve functional unit objectives.
Communicates results and issues to leadership.
Makes decisions on problems presented by subordinates and sets priorities and schedules.
Collaborates with heads of other units to solve multi-functional complex problems.
Initiates or participates in reviewing and improving work methods to support unit objectives.
Influence system design by evaluating supply planning principles to the supply and maintenance support plan which will allow the Program/Product Manager’s to provide timely, effective, and best-value product support throughout the system life cycle.
Supports and addresses supply and maintenance planning impacts to system cost, schedule, performance, life cycle management and supportability requirements IAW applicable repair parts (Class II and IX) supply policy in support of sustainability.
Oversees employees in at least one of the following functions: supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, procurement, order management, distribution management, or supplier performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship is required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Advanced certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- This is a designated Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
- This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.

Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Performing supply planning using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system; 2) Leading a team and/or project to complete and meet program and production goals; 3) Delivering briefings and/or preparing reports; and 4) Analyzing supply data to identify and mitigate program risks.
