About the Position: The pay band NH-04 supervisory includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15, with a control point GS-15 Step 6. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Assigns work to employees and tracks completion progress.
Formulates organizational plans for functional responsibility by determining requirements, staffing, and budgeting.
Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates, establishing priorities, and preparing schedules for completion.
Balances workload, removes bottlenecks, and promotes team building.
Evaluates individual and workgroup performance against approved program plans, schedules, and forecasts.
Successfully demonstrates the applicable supply and maintenance planning competencies and proficiencies influencing the twelve Life Cycle Logistics competency areas identified in the Life Cycle Logistics Competency Model.
Utilizes an approach with the acquisition community to integrate supply and maintenance planning from the initiation of product development to culmination of life to ensure the Product Support Strategy with the Integrated Product Support (IPS).
Manages and delivers repairable products and services through the IPS Elements to enable and sustain systems for operational readiness.
Analyzes information to make decisions and achieve functional unit objectives.
Communicates results and issues to leadership.
Collaborates with heads of other units to solve multi-functional complex problems.
Oversees employees in at least one of the following functions: supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, procurement, order management, distribution management, or supplier performance.
Periodically reviews position structure of supervised workgroup to ensure optimum balance between economy, efficiency, and skill utilization.
Develops workgroup-level objectives and goals nested within the Command, then translates those into tasks for individual employees.
Determines training needs and commits resources for training execution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship is required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Advanced certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as:
1) Performing supply planning using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system;
2) Leading a team and/or project to complete and meet program and production goals;
3) Delivering briefings and/or preparing reports; and
4) Analyzing supply data to identify and mitigate program risks.
