About the Position: Serves as the US Army Material Command Headquarters principle Subject Matter Expert (SME), and Privacy Act Program Officer, within the CIO/G6, Cyber Security Division.

Duties

Manage the AMC Privacy Program and provides oversight and direction to 10 MSCs: 2/3 Star commands and DRUs: 1 Star and O6/GSl5 Commands/Directorates. Ensure quarterly data collections is in accordance with law and conform to Privacy requirements, developing required Privacy Act System of Record Notices (SORNs) for each system of records maintained by AMC. Execute projects in support of the development and continuous improvement of the Privacy program and performs a variety of tasks including planning, scheduling and conducting studies. Ensure the completeness, accuracy, relevancy, timeliness and protection of records in AMC information systems and development of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA). Prepare and present briefings to higher levels of management regarding AMC-wide statistical data and prepares quarterly and annual Privacy reports. In cooperation with the Defense Privacy, Transparency, and Civil Liberties Division (DPTCLD), develops, delivers and maintains formal Privacy training for the entire AMC workforce.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
