About the Position: This position is for a Government Information Specialist at the US Army Installation Management Command, USAG located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Duties
Analyze requests for Army information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
Serve as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) related technical matters. Conduct contract oversight. Maintain contract performance records in accordance with regulatory guidance and through utilization of current available online tools.
Serve as subject matter expert contact point in agency in responding to members of Congress, the public, the media, other agencies, and employees and official of agency.
Maintain communication with local USPS personnel and Postmaster to address concerns and ensure adequate service to the installation for both military and the civilian community.
Develop/implement agency procedural guidance for interpretation and execution of information access laws and regulations regarding FOIA and For Official use Only (FOUO).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% or more.
- Secret clearance required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized which includes analyzing requests for information and records under the Freedom of Information Act; providing technical direction for complying with the Freedom of Information Act Program; developing and implementing procedural guidance for interpretation and execution of information access laws and regulations.
