About the Position: Serve as Budget Analyst with responsibility for accounting, budgeting, and financial management in the Resource Management Office, Office of the Administrative Executive, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G-3/5/7.
Duties
Adjust long-range budgetary requirements to assure conformance with established agency policy and Congressional intent.
Modify requirements as budget plans conform to changes in structure, organization, obligation and expenditure rates.
Monitor funds utilization for current and prior year budgets of assigned accounts.
Analyze execution of assigned programs and recommends funding and/or policy adjustments.
Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses and obligations.
Direct/conduct cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs.
Perform continuous appraisal of utilization of fiscal resources in accomplishing program objectives and goals.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).
- The incumbent must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Modify and create annual budget plans in accordance with mission requirements; Forecast, analyze, and monitor civilian payroll to include creating and updating financial records and systems; Utilize a financial management system such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to review, monitor, and analyze resource management requirements, and process basic budget transactions; and Provide technical advice to customers on budgetary requirements within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
